Sorry for being late, hope you all had a good vacation. As I had a horror movie marathon with my 18-year-old aunt, realization formed. Horror scares as we all know, it has ghosts and monsters. I suddenly had a notion to why the horror genre exists. There’s this indirect purpose of horror. Mostly for entertainment (You know, TV, plays, etc.), some teach morals. But they NEVER, WOULDN’T, and SHOULDN’T teach anything bad. So here, horror for me can toughen a person. I know not everyone has the guts to watch horror straightly; no harm conquering fear and nervousness through it? Through viewing horror films or reading horror stories, your interior can be strengthened, bravery can increase. That’s just what I think, basing from others’ POVs. My 18-year-old aunt was scared of clowns, my uncle was bothered with a magician, another aunt was afraid of a horror creature painting, a baby monster from movies and books creeped my male elementary classmate out a lot...many more I can’t count. Now, they aren’t. They check out plenty of horror now, haha. Do not let fear lead yourself. Calm down and be sturdy. Aside from horror, if your fear is not horror-related, you can overcome that, dealing with it by facing it. If it’s a phobia, it’s okay. You’re NOT alone. Fighting!
